- Three Players Selected for N-Youth All Stars Squad to Netherlands Sunshine Stars U-19 have officially resumed camping in preparation for the much-anticipated Super 8 of the N-Youth League, set to take place in June in Lagos.
The team, which emerged top of the Southern Conference, is gearing up to represent Ondo State with pride and determination.
In a statement issued by the Director of Sunshine Stars Youth Team, Mr. Oladimeji Abimbola, said the team is
in high spirits and fully prepared to take on the best young sides in the country.
“The boys are ready for the Super 8 of the N-Youth League. All necessary preparations have kicked off, and I am confident that the team will represent the state well in Lagos,” said Mr. Abimbola.
The Super 8 tournament will feature elite youth teams, including Enyimba U-19, Kano Pillars U-19, Plateau United, Kwara United U-19, among others, offering a highly competitive platform for the young Sunshine Stars squad.
Adding to the team’s growing reputation, three outstanding players – Mujeeb Abimbola, Shuaibu Yakubu, and Mathew Samuel have earned selection into the prestigious N-Youth All Stars squad.
The trio will represent Nigeria in a tour of the Netherlands with preparations for the international trial ongoing in Abuja.

“His belief in the Sunshine Stars Youth Academy has been instrumental in producing talents capable of competing at both national and international levels,” Mr. Abimbola added.
Sunshine Stars U-19 have consistently showcased exceptional performance throughout the season, maintaining dominance in the Southern Conference and earning their spot in the national Super 8 showdown.
As preparations continue, all eyes will be on the young Akure-based team as they aim to make a strong impression on the national stage and further highlight the strength of grassroots football development in Ondo State.
