The Deji of AKURE, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi has announced that all Markets and Shops in Akure will be shut tomorrow, Monday, August 22, 2022.
In a statement by his chief press Secretary, Michael Adeyeye, the monarch said The closure is part of the age long tradition in observance of the annual Aheregbe Festival.
The statement emphasised that no trading or opening of shops under any guise will be allowed during the festival.
It however clarified that ONLY Pharmacy shops and Patent Medicine Stores will be allowed to open during the festival and enjoined to comply with the directive.
The statement added that the festival will not restrict both human and vehicular movement.
