The call for resignation of the Director of the Health Center of Federal University of Technology Akure, Lack of qualified health staffs, dilapidated health structure of the institution among others were part of the agitations of the students who blocked the Ilesha Express Way.
This is sequel to the death of a final year 500-level student who was rushed to the health center and was left unattended to till he gave up the ghost after being rushed to Unimed Teaching Hospital, Akure.
The students claimed that 5 students have died from May till now due to the negligence of the health center and management of the institution.
