Eid-Il-Fitri: Ondo NSCDC deploys over 1000 tactical squad for security during festivity

Consequent upon the declaration of Friday, 21st April and Monday, 24th April, 2023 as Public Holidays by the Federal Government through the office of the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, to mark this year’s Eidel Fitri celebration, the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command, Commandant Olayinka Olatundun has deployed over One Thousand officers and men to beef up security in the State.

The State Commandant emphasized the need to protect critical national assets and infrastructure of government before, during and after the Salah celebration to the Area Commanders, Divisional officers and tactical heads of units at the State Headquarters of the Command in Akure.

While elucidating on the Operational Order, the Commandant explained that the deployment plan aims at ensuring the safety of the public during religious observance within the State.

” Your primary assignment is to ensure
the safety of the good people of the Sunshine State. You are to provide maximum security coverage to those who will take part in various religious activities bearing in mind to respect their fundamental human rights and dignity. Abuse of their rights will not be tolerated. Therefore, we need to exhibit high level of professionalism in our conduct”. He said.

For a robust policing, the command has deployed tactical squad, motorized patrol team, intelligence gathering mechanism, counter terrorism operatives, disaster management team to respond swiftly to disaster related issues before they escalate amongst other proactive measures.

In his congratulatory message to the muslim faithfuls, Olatundun implore them to imbibe the virtues of Allah (SWT). He prayed that this pious season will bring immense joy, happiness , peace and prosperity.
