Some Nigerians especially the youths have eulogised the composer of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) anthem, Dr Oluwole Adetiran, who passed on @74.
They described him as a legend whose legacy in shaping directions for the youths serving their Fatherland, through the stanza of the Nysc Anthem will remain indelible.
They stressed the need for such people to be remembered and rewarded for their patriotic and nationalistic outlook while still alive.
Pa Adetiran’s demise was confirmed, Friday 6th May,by some members of his church, the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC)
Last year, Adetiran explained that he had been inflicted with multiple diseases, including hypertension, diabetes and prostate cancer since 2018
He composed the scheme’s anthem in 1984.
Adediran, who studied music at University of Nigeria, Nsuka, recalled that he composed the anthem while serving as a corps member in Oyo State.
Before his demise, the NYSC anthem composer was the National Music Director of Celestial Church of Christ (CCC).
