Our plans on E-Tax Clearance- Akeredolu 

The Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN has received his Electronic Tax Clearance Certificate, E-TCC from the state Internal Revenue Service.

Governor Akeredolu who said  that the Electronic Tax  Clearance Certificate, would henceforth be a required document for anyone to transact business with the state government, advised all eligible tax payers in the state to generate the document.

Ondo state government has expressed sadness over the destruction of multi-million naira equipment for a proposed power substation at OkeAgbe town in Akoko North-West during a fire incident.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy, Tunji Light Ariyo appealed to the federal government to urgently complete other similar projects to prevent a repeat of this scenario or any act of vandalisation of power equipment and facilities across the State.

Shola Ilesanmi reports that Oke Agbe  community is also counting its loss over the destruction of the Power equipment.

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, has said Ondo Civil servants are the happiest in the country because their salaries are paid promptly.

He added that the state  has also commenced the payment of the new minimum wage.

Governor Akeredolu, who was at the Presidential Villa on a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, told State House Correspondents that he came to formally invite the president to commission the Ore flyover which is among several projects to be commissioned to mark the 3rd anniversary of his administration.

He said the formation of the Southwest security outfit codenamed Amotekun was not for his reelection bid.

Akeredolu, who is also the chairman of the south west governors forum, said: “Ondo state has already done enough in terms of security and I do not really need Amotekun to be reelected for a second term as governor.”

He urged the Federal Government to legalise the use of marijuana solely for the production of CBD drugs in the country.

The Governor said CBD can be extracted from marijuana and is a potent drug in the treatment of cancer. 

He expressed concern that Nigeria still spends a huge  amount of money importing the drug when it can be produced locally.

Making safe and clean water available to the people of ondo state has been one of the major preoccupations of the present administration since it came on board.

In furtherance of this effort, the government has put in place self prepaid facilities that allow residents to get water with an automated card under the kamomi aketi urban scheme.

The facilities now operational in Akure, the state capital are expected to be replicated in major cities across the state

They expressed their eagerness to have the flagship project delivered for use when our correspondent Olumide Adeluwoye visited the town to assess the progress of the health facility.

The All Progressive Congress, APC chairmanship primaries in Ondo state has been held in Akure South and North local council.

The exercise however ended in a stalemate in Idanre as aspirants and stakeholders differed on whether the affirmation held could pass for a credible exercise.
